Farm Fresh Tuesdays and Pumpkin Season is Almost Here!
Have I ever mentioned that I love pumpkins? They taste so wonderful in pies, muffins, bread, soups, and other foods that I just can’t get enough of them! And they are so much fun to use in autumn decorations…sitting on my front steps, as a centerpiece on the table, or next to a pot of mums on the deck. I tend to think of autumn as ‘pumpkin season’ because I enjoy these cheerful harbingers of fall so much!

They’re fun to grow and I enjoy picking out different varieties each year. One year I grew Dill’s Atlantic Giant Pumpkins and they were huge! I’ve also grown One Too Many, Baby Bear, Connecticut Field, Jarradale, Lumina, Jack-be-Little, Baby Boo… the list goes on. 🙂

I hope you don’t get sick of pumpkin posts because I have plenty more to share as we get closer to pumpkin season!

A Quick Update From The Self Sufficient HomeAcre and The New Homesteader’s Almanac…
I’ve decided to merge my websites. All of my content from the Almanac will be added to my blog, The Self Sufficient HomeAcre. This process will take some time as I update posts and move them. Thanks for reading!
I Hope You Enjoyed Your Labor Day Weekend!

Farm Fresh Features - Fall Recipes!
This week I chose the theme of fall recipes for my featured posts…they all look so delicious! I’m a little bit jealous because I can’t eat very much sugar these days, but I can make the oatmeal! (I’m also learning to substitute low glycemic sweeteners for sugar.) Enjoy a sweet treat for me!
