The Holiday Rush Will Be Here Soon!
November is here and many of us are getting prepared for the holiday season. If you’re anything like me, you want to be prepared early to beat the Holiday Rush. If so, you’ll want to get started soon. It’s hard to believe that Thanksgiving is right around the corner!

A Special Holiday Season for Me!
I love the holidays and this year will be extra special because my family is celebrating my Dad’s 80th Birthday on Thanksgiving Weekend! It sure doesn’t seem like he will be 80…he is such an active guy!
My Mom is planning a Lumberjack themed party for my Dad…shhhh! Don’t tell him, lol. 🙂 And I already have a red and black plaid shirt for each of us to wear to the party.
In case you are wondering, my Dad has been cutting his own firewood and working in the woods and on the farm pretty much his whole life.
Here is a post I shared of my Dad making canes and walking sticks from saplings he harvested from his woodlot and another about his workshop.

Start Now on Your Homemade Gifts!
Last week I made Apple Jam to give as gifts for family and friends. I shared a sheet of gift tags that you may download and print for free to attach to your apple jam if you make the recipe in my post. You don’t have to sign up for my newsletters or pay anything, just print them out and use them!
Check out the full recipe, with complete canning instructions and printable gift tags here!
I have a bunch of links to share over the coming month to help you make your own gifts for the holidays.

Thank you so much for featuring my pallet pumpkins. You made my day!
Hi Ann…I love those pumpkins…so pretty! Thanks so much for being a part of our party each week!
Those printable are so cute. I’m celebrating a birthday on Thanksgiving Dayton. A lumberjack birthday sounds fun. My hubby chops all the wood for our home too. He says it’s great exercise.
Thanks, Amy! Happy early Birthday! That’s great that he is your ‘lumberjack!” lol! My hubby and son do most of the wood chopping these days, but I used to before I had my hip replaced. I should probably get back into it. 🙂
