The HomeAcre Hop #80
Welcome to The HomeAcre Hop!
Life has been so busy on our homestead this summer. We are in the middle of a kitchen remodel, which seems to be taking forever. Things are moving along, however, and the drywall should be done soon. Then we can prime, paint, re-install the kitchen cabinets, apply the polyurethane, and order the flooring and counter tops. Whew!
On top of all this, our family has traveled to New York to visit family and to Michigan to visit friends. I’m picking beans every other day or so. The broccoli has provided us with plenty of nice sized heads and I’m harvesting side florets now. My onions are starting to fall over, a sign that they will be ready to harvest, cure, and store soon. The potatoes are going gangbusters and we are eating plenty of zucchini. We’re just about done with beets, but the carrots are ready and we’ll have lots of parsnips this fall. Yum! I love eating our own veggies, fresh from the garden every day!
