I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving and you are enjoying a nice, quiet morning at home today! I will be working from home a little bit and relaxing after a busy Thanksgiving day of cooking and visiting with our very dear friends, Rich, Terri, and Zak!
My big plan for today will be to make turkey soup with the leftovers and some homegrown veggies from our garden. Sounds exciting, doesn’t it? Well, I think it’s much better than standing in long lines, getting elbowed in the side, or arriving early to find the shelves in disarray and the poor cashiers forcing a smile for some belligerent customer. Not my idea of a holiday weekend when I should be concentrating on what I have to be thankful for!
Perhaps, if you would like to do some shopping today but hate to brave the busy roads and jam packed parking lots, you might like to do a little online shopping? I’m sure that you have sites you like to purchase from, and you received many emails this morning from all the online retailers. But maybe you could support some small business owners who sell through Etsy to try and make a little extra cash to help support their families, rather than sending all your shopping dollars to the big business owners? Stop by my post Make Your Gifts Count This Year to read a few of my suggestions. 🙂
And don’t forget to enter for your chance to win the doTerra Essential Oil Gift Set we are giving away this week. This wonderful kit contains 3 bottles of Therapeutic Grade essential oils that are not only food safe, but of the highest quality. The retail value of this gift set is $25.95 and would make a super gift! We really appreciate Jenni Hulbert’s sponsorship of this giveaway and I highly recommend checking out her website. She has wonderful ideas for getting in shape and staying healthy this holiday season with her Inspire Workout. Stop by Jenni’s doTerra page and peruse all of the wonderful essential oils that you can use personally or give as gifts to your loved ones this holiday too!
And One Last Thought…
I recently found that another website copied one of my articles in its entirety and posted it on their site. At the end of the article they listed ‘Source’ which linked to my original post. I was upset that they were making advertising money off of my hard work and let them know that they needed to change that. Well, to make a long story short, they deleted the entry and sent me a rather surly message.
I am very thankful for my readers and I’m thankful that I am able to work from home building my blog and business. I work very hard researching, writing, and sharing my original articles and photographs to share my homesteading experience with you. If you ever run across another blog that is copying my work, I would really be thankful to you for letting me know about it. Copying another blogger’s posts or photos without permission is copyright infringement and it’s illegal. I hope you will call them out on it if you see it!
Thank You for Reading, Commenting, and Sharing Links to My Blog!
