Happy Easter!

Don’t you just love the green Easter Eggs in this photo? No, I didn’t dye them…they are from my Easter Egg Chickens! You might like to keep a few of them yourself for the delicately colored, all natural Easter Eggs! They look so pretty in a basket or an apron.

I hope that you have a wonderful Easter with family and friends…and maybe even your chickens. :)

Giveaway Winner!

My co-host Jenny, from Black Fox Homestead, and I announced the winner of The Heirloom Seed Giveaway on Thursday’s HomeAcre Hop! Congratulations to Melody Green! When I contacted Melody, she said “Oh my! You have made my week! Thank You!” I’m sure she will enjoy the variety of seeds donated by Mary’s Heirloom Seeds for the giveaway. Please stop by and visit Mary’s website to browse through her awesome selection of organic, non-GMO heirloom seeds! Her company is located in the United States, seeds are packed in recycled paper packets, and her web hosting company supports renewable energy…how cool is that?! All shipping costs are included in the purchase price. Mary will be sponsoring another wonderful giveaway, so stop by this coming Thursday for the announcement on our next edition of The HomeAcre Hop!

More Easter Eggs

I love all of the beautiful, healthy eggs my chickens are laying for our family. Although we probably won’t dye any of them this year (my son is 17 and way too mature for those shenanigans) we get a wonderful array of colors from my mixed flock of hens! I hope that you will share your spring, Easter, and egg dying posts with us this week! And I will share some all natural Easter Egg pics from our homestead. :)

The eggs look so pretty sitting on top of my Grandma’s vintage apron. Perfect for Easter!

The vintage calendar towel came from my Grandma’s kitchen after she passed away. I have quite a few of her kitchen towels and aprons. Doesn’t it look like spring?

New Buttons!

You will notice that I have some bright, summery new buttons below! I hope you like these cheery images. If you prefer the old button, you can still find them on my Freebies page!

Featured Posts

My very first feature is from my ‘real life’ friend Laura! She started a super cool blog called A Happy Housewife and this yummy post features some of my favorite kiddos! Oh yeah…it actually features her recipe for Chocolate Steel Cut Oats, but the best part of all is this smile. :) Make sure you stop by to check out Laura’s blog for frugal, fun, and fabulous ideas for your household!

Isn’t he a little sweetie pie :)

Hope in Every Season shared her post Easter Eggs with Heinz and Paas with a link to an egg decorating app that benefits the Make a Wish foundation. The fund raiser ends today (Easter day), so hurry on over to decorate your egg and support this important cause!

Check out this sunny Happy Spring card from Paper Seedlings! Linda found a unique way to use the netting from a bag of oranges for an awesome texture in her artwork!

Picking the posts to feature each week is one of the fun parts of hosting a blog hop. It’s also the most difficult, because it’s so hard to pick just a few! I am currently entertaining the idea of inviting some fun-loving co-hosts for this blog hop. If you are interested, please drop me a line in the contact me page! I look forward to seeing all of the creative ideas you share each week, so let’s get hopping! (No Easter Bunny pun intended there) :)

Thanks to all of the talented bloggers who linked up last week! If you would like to be featured, be sure to link back to the hop!

Now, on to your latest creations!

  • Share your family friendly posts featuring photography, creative writing, home cooking, eco-friendly crafts, home decor, vintage finds, objects d’ art, fiber arts and sewing, farm girl fashion, thrifty tips, food preservation and gardening helpers, hand made ‘wholesomeness’, and good ol’ fashioned homemaking news. If you have a creative side, I’d love to see what you’ve been working on! Etsy sellers are welcome to share here too. :)
  • Please link back to the hop in your post. If you don’t take a couple of seconds to do this, you won’t be featured. I’ve created a couple of cute buttons for you to grab, or you can use a text link in your post. Thanks for sharing the hop with others!
  • Pretty please, with cherries on top, go visit as many of the other bloggers posting as you can! The whole point of a hop is to build a community of like minded bloggers who share and support each other. :) We all love to hear from our visitors, so please leave thoughtful and kind comments when you visit!
  • You are welcome to link your archived posts here, as long as all of the content you share is your own.
  • Happy hopping!
