The Creative HomeAcre Hop #5
Welcome back to The Creative HomeAcre Hop!
I have a couple of announcements to make before we get get started today. First, I moved all of my past polls to their very own page and I opened all polls again for anyone who hasn’t had a chance to vote yet! Second, this Tuesday I will be sharing a resource for bloggers that I think you will all enjoy. I’ll give you just a little hint…this tool will provide another way to spread the word about your blog hop or linky party, and it will give bloggers a place to find new hops to join! So please come back on Tuesday for more information!
I’d like to share a silly idea for finger food. My 17 year old son and I came up with a spontaneous, weird, but very yummy roll-up ‘sandwich’ idea recently.
Banana Pancake Roll-Up
- Start with a pancake - we had a few leftover blueberry pancakes from breakfast waiting for us in the fridge.
- Peel a banana and lay it across the center of your pancake.
- Add a little drizzle of honey if you would like a sweet ‘sandwich.’
- Smear a little nut butter on the banana. We used peanut butter.
- Roll up and eat over a plate…this was a little messy!
Silly? Yes! Unique? I’d say so!
Fun to eat and delicious too? Yes and yes! Do you have any weird foods you like to eat?
Now that you’ve seen my silly side we can get on to the serious business of our featured posts from last week! I love the DIY attitude of these bloggers.
The dyes and soaps look so gorgeous and that casserole is on my list of must tries! I am always interested in self reliance projects so the post about rendering and using beef tallow is right up my alley too. Thanks so much for sharing these wonderful posts with us last week! Please stop by to visit these talented bloggers and congratulate them on being featured!

Now, on to your latest creations!
- Share your family friendly posts featuring photography, creative writing, home cooking, eco-friendly crafts, home decor, vintage finds, objects d’ art, fiber arts and sewing, farm girl fashion, thrifty tips, food preservation and gardening helpers, hand made ‘wholesomeness’, and good ol’ fashioned homemaking news. If you have a creative side, I’d love to see what you’ve been working on! Etsy sellers are welcome to share here too.
- Please link back to the hop in your post. If you don’t take a couple of seconds to do this, you won’t be featured. I’ve created a couple of cute buttons for you to grab, or you can use a text link in your post. Thanks for sharing the hop with others!
- Pretty please, with cherries on top, go visit as many of the other bloggers posting as you can! The whole point of a hop is to build a community of like minded bloggers who share and support each other.
We all love to hear from our visitors, so please leave thoughtful and kind comments when you visit! - You are welcome to link your archived posts here, as long as all of the content you share is your own.
- Happy hopping!
