Dear Reader…
Happy Holidays!
Thanksgiving is the beginning of a pretty special time of year, and I hope that you’re spending your holidays surrounded by the warmth and comfort of your loved ones, with lots of home cooked feasts to enjoy! I had a wonderful Thanksgiving with my family and some of the dearest friends a person could wish for!
Now that my Thanksgiving cooking and baking splurge is complete, I have some work to do to keep this website moving forward!
A Positive Change…
Just a note to let you know that I’m making a change to my site, but it will be ‘behind the scenes’ and you should still find most everything right where you expect it to be.
Going ‘Greener’
The Self Sufficient HomeAcre is moving to a new host site. The new company is listed as one of the top green web hosts available and I’m very happy to support a company that is working to reduce their carbon footprint. When I first started this blog, I didn’t realize just how much energy the hosting companies use. Now that I’m aware of the issue, I feel that it’s important to choose a company that’s working to make positive changes.
What Does This Mean to You?
As you shop for deals or dine on leftover turkey and pumpkin pie today, I’ll be working behind the scenes to keep this site up and running. Hopefully you won’t notice much difference, but some things didn’t transfer over and I’m working diligently to add them back before the final move takes place. So please don’t worry too much if something doesn’t look quite the way you expect it to over the next few days.
In addition to a few things looking a little out of order, you may also notice a lack of new posts for a little while. I honestly wasn’t expecting that this transfer would lose so many of my photos and recipes…but I’m working to get them back in place. If something that you want to read is missing, feel free to leave a comment or send an email through the contact page under my header to let me know. I have so many photos and posts in my archives that it will take a little time to go through and check everything. Whew!
So please pardon the dust! Let me know if you have any questions and I’ll do my best to answer them in a timely manner.
