Ordering Khaki Campbell Ducklings & The HomeAcre Hop #108

Khaki Campbell Ducklings

I’ve been keeping Pekin Ducks for a couple of years, and we had them when I was a kid too. They are great for meat and are decent layers of large, off-white eggs. But I’ve read so much about the egg production of Khaki Campbell ducks and have wanted to try them for several years. But I really hate to place an order for 20 ducklings from a hatchery…that’s really more than I need.

Our local feed store places several orders from Cackle Hatchery each spring and customers can order as few as 5 of any poultry breed. So this is my chance to try out the Khakis without order oodles of them. :) Have you ever raised Khaki Campbells? Did you find them to be super productive egg layers?

I look forward to seeing what you share every week! My thyme plant died last winter, so this post reminded me that I really need to plant a new one!
