Welcome to The HomeAcre Christmas Hop!

We’re so excited to read your special holiday posts this week! You’re still welcome to share your regular homesteading, homemaking, and homeschooling posts too. :)

I’ve been baking cookies, decorating the house, and planning ahead for our Christmas dinner. Here on our homestead, we like to keep the celebrations simple and centered on family, friends, and keeping the tranquility and peace of the season foremost in our hearts.

One of the less tranquil homesteading responsibilities I’ll undertake next week is preparing a traditional roast duck for dinner, from ‘scratch.’ This involves processing one of my home raised ducks on Christmas Eve. It’s not exactly at the top of my ‘favorite things to do for the holidays’ list, but it’s a necessary part of my homesteading lifestyle. I’m very thankful that our family is able to enjoy roast duck that I raised myself.

Please note that we will take a break next week to spend Christmas with our family and friends. Have a peaceful holiday and join us on New Year’s Day for another fun holiday hop!
