i have 100 ghavti hens they are just starting eggs please recomond which feed will be better for these hens.

  Hi Parvez,
  Broilar chicks need a high protein feed to grow to butcher weight quickly. The feed stores around me sell a special formula called Meat Producer Feed, which has a protein content of 22-24%. If you don’t have that option, you can give them a regular grower feed or chick feed and add extra protein, such as fish meal, ground soy or field peas. I have trouble finding those in my area, so I order split peas from a buying club. If they don’t have the extra protein, they will take longer to reach butchering size.
  
  Young chickens need to have their feed ground up fairly fine, but as they get older you can give them cracked grains and then whole grains. They will also need grit to help their gizzard grind up the grains, unless they have access to gravel and small stones.
