I roll out of bed before the rooster gets a chance to crow. The first sign of daylight is glowing on the soft underbelly of the clouds. “Hey, that tickles…” I imagine the clouds saying. I grab my camera and the dog and head out to watch.
In the beginning, there is light……it gets brighter……and pinkier (is that a real word?)……and it is good…especially since Shadow is here to help me take photos. “This looks like a good shot, Mom…Mouse!”Such a pretty way to start the day…sigh of contentment.Within moments the glow begins to fade.A quick shot to document my goofiness…who runs out in slippers and pajamas to take pictures of the sunrise when it’s like 30 degrees outside? (By the way, those cute little doggie slippers were a b-day present from my Mom and Dad I run in the house to thaw my fingers, put on the tea kettle, and back out again……but the magic is over. The whole show lasted about 15 minutes, so I head back to the house……for a cup of hot tea and a little lap warming session with Oscar. He spent the night outside, so he’s happy to oblige :)
