Before the Snow Melt

The January weather warmed up for a few days and melted all the snow. We had some beautiful views before that. Being surrounded by brown today made me wish for more snow, so I’m sharing these shots from a week ago. Shadow helped me capture the views. What a good doggie.

This dead tree is a favorite spot for hawks eating their prey. Little bones, feathers, and fur often litter the ground beneath it.

The driving winds and heavy snow left the north side of every tree and fence post coated with a hard layer of snow.

Shadow choked himself up a bit after snorting and wuffing in the snow. Silly boy.
