Welcome to My Homestead!

Welcome To My Homestead!

I started sharing my homesteading adventures on The Self Sufficient HomeAcre in 2012 to encourage people to start a homestead and become more self-reliant. Since then I’ve published a gazillion posts about gardening, cooking from scratch, raising small livestock, preserving food, foraging for wild edibles, and frugal and sustainable living.

Every day I try to do something in my own life to reduce waste, provide for my family, and live a bit more closely to the land. I hope you will join me on my journey to self-sufficiency!

  7. Lisa you have described it well. I feel the same way about blogging. I have completed my first year and while it is fun and creative, it is alot of work and requires time. It’s inspiring to see how you are following your dream.
